The co-founder of Apple and the developer of the first personal PC’s, Steve Wozniak, has again become interested in the blockchain industry.
Wozniak bought Bitcoin for only $700, but he sold all of his crypto-assets in January of 2018 when he got tired of seeing the currency’s volatility. The businessman even called the blockchain a bubble then.
But now Wozniak has joined the blockchain start-up Equi Capital which plans to use blockchain technology in the investment field.
Equi is considered an alternative investment company. They will provide a convenient way to acquire a stake in companies for both corporate and private players.
Wozniak admitted that the technology amazed him and that he is taking part in such a project for the first time. The entrepreneur also added that the company will not be engaged in the creation of a new cryptocurrency or any similar product with an inflated price.
Wozniak has kept his position in the new company a secret so far. The legal entity will likely be registered in Malta, which was recently recognized as one of the most favourable countries for a cryptocurrency or blockchain business.
