Splach Transformer is launching an all-terrain motorbike-like scooter

Next month, the California-based start-up is launching a crowdfunding campaign to raise money for an off-road motorbike-like scooter.

The scooter is perfectly suited for getting around the city and for cross-country travel. The 960-watt hub engine drives the electric scooter to 40 km/h in only five seconds. In addition, the powerful wheels can negotiate 30-degree inclines.

Along with 10-inch tires and a sprung double suspension, the scooter can perfectly handle all types of obstacles. Moreover, stability when riding the bike is guaranteed as it has comfortable foot platforms and a low centre of gravity. A single battery charge is sufficient for travelling 45 kilometres. It is also possible to replace a dead battery with a new one in a matter of seconds.

The scooter will be available to pre-order from July 5th on the Indiegogo crowdfunding site. The price per unit will be $1,000. The retail price will be $3,000.
