A study conducted by scientists at the University of Pennsylvania showed a clear relationship between sleep duration and health status. Healthy students, who often pay insufficient attention to the daily routine and refuse the necessary sleep in favor of other matters, took part in the experiment.
It turned out that if you increase the daily sleep time by only 15 minutes, this will lead to a significantly more cheerful state as a whole. However, the main scientific result of the study was blood pressure indicators, which are significantly better if you sleep enough.
Lack of sleep can significantly reduce person’s cognitive functions. For most people, regular sleep for 7–8 hours is recommended for good health.
