Tesla's Electric Cybertruck can travel over 800 km on a single charge

The model combines powerful features and retro-futuristic design.

The futuristic design of the new Tesla electric car complements the corresponding name, Cybertruck. The electric pickup complements the company's lineup, in which at first there were only passenger cars for a wide range of customers, and then the Semi electric truck and the Roadster sports car appeared. The development of an electric pickup truck took several years.

During a presentation in Los Angeles on November 21, Elon Musk showed the production version of Cybertruck, which will soon go on the market. You can already pre-order it on the company’s website. Three versions are available for purchase — for $39,900, $49,900 and $69,900.

In the maximum configuration, the pickup has three electric motors and can travel 805 km without recharging. The electric car takes only 2.9 seconds to accelerate to 96.6 km per hour. 

When creating the Cybertruck, designers gained inspiration from retro-futuristic cars like the DeLorean DMC-12. The electric car got a bulletproof steel casing and air suspension, which is configured for each axis separately depending on the load. The start of mass production is scheduled for the end of 2021.
