The novelty is called Mi TV LUX OLED Transparent Edition. Besides the see-through screen, the TV can boast a 55-inch panel.
The exquisite feature of the TV is the unusual arrangement of its "filling". In comparison to conventional models with the evenly distributed electronics over the entire screen, OLED TV has the electronics concentrated in its opaque stand. This makes, together with the TOLED technology (instead of the standard OLED), the screen transparent.
The novelty was created for Xiaomi’s 10-year anniversary with the purpose to demonstrate the company's unique approach to products, though the TV has a significant flaw. It is almost impossible to use as a monitor for work or gaming as the trans lucid icons are hard to see and 3D navigation is much more difficult. The cost of Mi TV LUX OLED Transparent Edition is 49,999 yuan (about $ 7,200), the TV can be ordered only in China.
