In future, the spacecraft will be used to take astronauts to Mars and the Moon. The prototype was installed in Boca Chica village, Texas, where the company is planning to build its spaceport. The joyous event, however, was overshadowed by an unpleasant incident: the prototype was badly damaged by a sudden hurricane that hit the area.
Today, Elon Must posted a video featuring the first firing of the Raptor engine. Three such engines will be installed on the rocket trial version. If everything goes according to the plan, the first launch of Starship spacecraft will take place in 2023, this time propelled by seven engines. The crew will include a Japanese entrepreneur Yusaku Maezawa and people selected by him.
