The company’s plans in that respect were revealed by a Credit Suisse analyst with reference to Apple’s partners.
The notch on the iPhone X display was an unusual visual solution that immediately became a subject of heated debates among designers. Such discussions are likely to stop, because OLED displays with a notch will become a thing of the past next year. At least, this is what Ming-Chi Kuo, a TF Securities analysts, says.
The expert shared several other insights about the future phone model: for example, iPhone 2020’s selfie camera will have a smaller lens compared to the one currently used, which may affect the size of the TrueDepth camera system. According to Ming-Chi Kuo, it will be the main reason for the company to stop using this designer solution.
New gadgets will also combine Face ID and a fingerprint scanner. The system will be built into the screen. By 2021, Face ID will no longer be used, and client identification will be effected using an optical scanner located under the screen.
