Rototic bars soon to come to the Italian resorts

Makr Shakr is a robotic company. Its plans to design a robotic bar that can mix almost all existing cocktails have been known for a long time, but nobody gave them much importance — but in vain, because just a few days ago the company presented to the world its vision of autonomous bars, working without a single employee.

The system features a driverless vehicle where a pair of mechanical manipulators pouring drinks is installed. The structure is complete with a comfortable canopy, a refrigerator, a bar counter and other accessories. The smart bar can move around the beaches and other popular holiday locations to provide services without human intervention.

Customers will be able to call it to a specific location and pay the mechanical bartender using a special mobile app.

The concept is called Guido, which means «I drive» in Italian. According to Makr Shakr’s employees, testing of the new product is scheduled for this summer. And while the project’s subtleties remain secret, Guido’s general outlines are already impressive. This example shows how technology is transforming our lives, specifically the services.
