We have already seen a similar invention in the movie "Back to the Future". However, in the real world, the hoverboard can only levitate over a sheet of steel.
Engineers from the popular YouTube channel Hacksmith Industries have created a "Flying Hoverboard". The device levitates using rotating magnets embedded into the board. When it meets metal, a magnetic field is generated that lifts the device into the air.
The present invention has one drawback: because of the electrical energy, the board becomes extremely hot, which may lead to a fire. So, creating this type of hoverboard at home is not recommended.
