E-Chat cryptomessenger will make its own Ethereum hardfork

The creators of e-Chat messenger working on Ethereum decided to develop their own hardfork. A new blockchain platform is required because the application has outgrown a standard messenger and became a decentralized ecosystem with many functions, with a multicurrency wallet among them offering an option of exchange to fiat money, NFC and QR wireless payments and many others.

Now e-Chat is in the fourth of the five stages of ICO. Hardfork is scheduled for the beginning of March, as soon as fundraising will be completed and several exchanges will start trading ECHT token.

E-Chat developers plan to make a serious competition to WhatsApp and Telegram.

Assuming the fact Pavel Durov plans to start soon the largest in the history ICO for several billion dollars, the ambitions of e-Chat look very serious.

A test version of an Android and iOS app is already available in app stores. In addition to the functions of a decentralized messenger with P2P encryption and file storage based on the IPFS protocol, the application has a crypto-support built in supporting several cryptocurrencies and the possibility of exchange to fiat money. Users can pay for any purchases using NFC and QR technologies. Inside a instant messenger, you can make transfers in cryptocurrency and fiat money directly in private messages. The application stores private keys for cryptotices on the user's side.

Privacy in e-Chat is provided by end-to-end encryption. A fingerprint or face recognition function give access to the application.

Voice and video calls, individual and group chats and channels come as no surprise already, their absence would be therefore rather puzzling.

E-Chat allows to organize live broadcasting. During video calls and online broadcasting users can change their look with assistance of neuronal networks.

The platform provides wide opportunities for content monetization. For example, bloggers and media publishers can create paid channels, and users can pay for interesting content using cryptocurrencies.

Details of the development plan are discussed by the project community. ECHT token holders can vote to one or another initiatives.
