Candle Touch - a wax candle that lights up via Bluetooth

If you are tired of using matches, now you can light a candle using a mobile app.

The device consists of two parts: a base with electronic filling and the body, which a cotton wick, wrapped in a metal spiral, goes through. When the user activates the candle through the mobile app, the battery transmits an electric current by the spiral, and the wick lights up. Depending on the body, when burning, a candle gives off one of 9 flavours.

The mobile application is available on iOS and Android platforms. For wireless communication, it uses Bluetooth 5.0, its maximum range is 18m. Through the application, you can manage 10 different candles at the same time. When there is not much left of the candle, the app will warn the user about it. You can also password protect the platform so that no one else can activate the device.

One candle can burn for 40 hours. After this period, its base should be replaced. At the moment, the company is raising funds on the Kickstarter platform. You can buy one candle for $49. The retail price for the whole set will be $79.
