Bitfinex, one of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges, reopened registration for new users, but with restrictions. After registration, you must make a deposit of at least $10,000, for full account activation and access to trade.

The news in the company's Twitter account has already collected a lot of negative comments. Bitfinex solution seemed unfair and the minimum deposit amount is too large for many people.

In a more detailed blog post, the administration of the service explains that Bitfinex is focused on professional traders and advises beginners to start with smaller exchanges to deal with the cryptocurrency trade. In the new year, the exchange team focuses on servicing the main customer base and therefore plans to accept only fairly large players in the near future.

The new rules apply only to accounts created after January 1, 2018. Existing accounts work without restrictions.

At the end of last year, due to a sharp increase in the number of customers, other large crypto-exchanges (Binance, Bittrex) temporarily closed registration to expand and improve the infrastructure.
