For this purpose, they developed special multi-component equipment.
The complete set consists of GPS, optical cameras, lidar, "smart" bumper, and a few remote switches. The electronic part allows the equipment to navigate independently, avoid obstacles, and respond to collisions. If something goes wrong, the operator will be able to stop the tractor without even getting into the cabin.
To take advantage of the development, you need to launch a special program and set the operation area of the tractor on a digital map. The setting of the geofence allows the vehicle to stay within the defined boundaries. According to the company, the system has already been tested in the US, where it has successfully handled soil cultivation, mowing, and planting.
