A Japanese TV channel is developing its own virtual assistant

There are very few details about the project. However, what is known, is that it includes the names of multiple technologies: from 5G to metadata, so the project looks very promising.

Telecommunications company KDDI has agreed with Mawari to create a new kind of virtual assistant that has already been dubbed the "digital human." The media giants aim to develop a whole virtual universe with assistants who reside there and can solve numerous tasks that are far from trivial.

The project's creators believe that implementing such a large-scale idea is possible together with large corporations that already have their own servers because existing mobile phones have much less computing power and consume the battery far too quickly.
