A full-sized flying saucer prototype created in Romania

This spring witnessed presentation of the ADIFO smaller-sized version – a cross between a jet aircraft, a quadcopter and a helicopter. The story has now got a long-awaited continuation.

In March, HiTecher featured news of a flying saucer created by Romanian inventors. The flying saucer-shaped device, moves like fantastic devices we see in films about aliens. This effect is achieved through vertical take-off and landing as well as the ability to hover in the air and high maneuverability.

The project’s authors, Razvan Sabi and Joseph Taposa, have this time brought it to a new high, creating a full-sized prototype of the machine. And they now need to raise funding for production of a full-fledged model fitted with powerful jet engines. The newly-created device will be tested in a wind tunnel and make a long-awaited flight at supersonic speed.

According to the mass media outlets, an unnamed aircraft manufacturer and a number of government agencies are ready to finance the project.
