Uber Technologies Inc. plans to integrate into its application the London bus timetable, as well as the London subway map — reported the Financial Times on Tuesday, citing a source close to the officials responsible for transport.

Implementation of the new functionalities can make Uber a direct competitor to the young company Citymapper developing a navigation application for pedestrians and drivers.

A year ago, the London authorities revoked Uber’s license to transport passengers due to insufficient safety, issues with the drivers’ working conditions and suppression of information on violations.

This summer it became known that the company had eliminated all the drawbacks and received a new license for 15 months. Uber undertakes to report all wrongdoing to the police and also conduct an audit of its managers.
