A new campaign on Kickstarter will appeal to all those who dreamt of having superpowers when they were kids.

The British start-up Invisibility Shield has developed an unusual gadget that makes objects invisible. The Invisibility Shield is a 90 cm x 60 cm rectangular shield. It uses a special lens to direct light reflected from the object in the observer's direction. In other words, the object behind the device merges with its surroundings.

The illusion is not perfect - you can suspect something is wrong by the blurred picture. However, the invisible shield is much better against a homogeneous background. In addition, it does not even need a power source to operate, which means that you can create a visual illusion anywhere. You can get this device for $400.
