The Omni Hoverboard was created by the Canadian inventor Alexandru Duru only a few years ago. The inventor set a new world record for flying a record distance, making it into the Guinness Book of Records. Alexandru is currently planning to start mass production of the Hoverboards.
The flying board includes a frame, a hand throttle and eight propellers, which means that the board is extremely well balanced. The motors are straightforward to control via an open-source electronic platform on Arduino. The hoverboard is silent during flight and sufficiently reliable.
Duru will have to legalise his invention before he can start selling the flying boards. The inventor even says that if there are problems with this in his home country of Canada, he is willing to relocate to another country.
