British clothing brand Vollebak has released a jacket that the company says will help you survive anything, even an apocalypse.
Made from an exceptionally durable material developed in the late 1950s by NASA for the Apollo space program. The material has an incredible resistance to thermal and chemical attacks. It also features antimicrobial properties and is UV resistant. Additionally, the polybenzimidazole fibers in the fabric never harden or crack; therefore, they can withstand temperatures of up to almost 1300 °C.
The jacket is very well-designed for physical comfort. For example, the design was first developed over the same years as for the US Air Force. It aimed to protect the crew of aircraft carriers from severe frosts and wind. As a result, the hood can be tightly closed, leaving only a tiny opening for the nose and eyes. Likewise, a metal wire is sewn along the hem of the hood, so it may be shaped in any way you like.
Furthermore, the jacket comes with twenty-three zipped pockets on the back and the sides, including inside pockets. It can also be turned into a sleeping bag. The jacket is currently on sale, and prices start from $1295.
