Polish entrepreneur and engineer Tomasz Patan has invented the flying hoverbike Volonaut Airbike and has already completed its first flight. It lasted several minutes. Patan ascended on the flying device, flew over a valley and the nearby forest, and then successfully landed.

Patan did not publicize his invention until he was certain of its viability. However, the aircraft designer still does not disclose technical details. It is known that his flying motorcycle is much lighter than ground-based bikes. It operates using rotating propellers rather than jet thrust. Thanks to this, the device turned out to be convenient and not bulky; for example, the bike can fly through relatively narrow spaces. At the same time, its blades — special air screws — do not hit obstacles and do not pose additional danger. Moreover, the device can ascend into the air even without the use of blades. The motorcycle also has a stabilization system to ensure stability and the ability to remain in the air without pilot control.

The pilot of the Volonaut Airbike really sits as on a motorcycle. This provides the biker with a wide field of view and almost complete freedom of movement. The landing gear of the flying bike resembles helicopter skids. In addition, the motorcycle is equipped with white and red position lights — special lighting devices necessary in case other flying vehicles are nearby. The developer Patan himself is confident that the flying bike can reach speeds of up to 200 km/h.

Earlier, Tomasz Patan invented a special copter Jetson One, which is capable of lifting a person into the air. However, unlike the new invention, the copter was more massive, and the pilot sat in it as in a car.
