SwellPro together with Urban Drones has released a waterproof drone SPRY, which can fly as well as swimming under water. Externally the quadcopter is similar to other devices of its class, but the camera and screws are reliably protected from water. For underwater shooting the SPRY must be turned upside down.

Drone can reach speeds of up to 70 km / h. The drone’s camera shoots video in 4K resolution at a speed of up to 30 frames per second. The maximum video bitrate is 64 Mb / s. The matrix allows you to make 12-megapixel photos. A special lens minimizes distortion when shooting. One battery charge is enough for 17 minutes of flight.

The developers decided to protect from water not only the quadcopter, but also the control panel.

The company collected the necessary amount of $ 28,000 on Kickstarter in just one day. In total, the project collected more than $ 138,000.

SwellPro already developed waterproof models of drones, but they turned out expensive. SPRY will cost $ 990, and for early backers the drone will cost $ 770. The company plans to begin shipping drones in December.
