Next year, Boston Dynamics is planning to sell a batch of upgraded robots with an additional flexible, manipulator arm.
The batch will consist of 250 devices worth $7.500 each. Sales will start in June 2021. According to the company's founder, Marc Raibert, the robot's capabilities will increase significantly.
The robot has 6 degrees of freedom for automated action that will enable it to move various objects, open doors and interact with the surrounding space in every possible way. Rob Plater, a spokesman for the company, expressed confidence that the robot will have an intuitive interface that will make life easier for consumers.
You can control the robot using a unique remote control or tablet. The robot has many hypothetical applications, although having such a high price tag could be a significant obstacle to conquering the market.
