Now the machine can connect to the cloud, so it can be controlled by a remote operator.
The Spot robot is perhaps the most famous invention of the American company Boston Dynamics. Recently, the machine has received the ability to be controlled remotely, thanks to which you can now use the robot, even while being on the other side of the planet. The new Spot features come from Boston Dynamics's partnership with Rocos from New Zealand. The latter specializes in cloud technology.
To test the device’s new capabilities, American developers connected to a robot located in New Zealand. Previously, the machine was used to help doctors in the fight against coronavirus and in patrolling construction sites and other facilities. This time, Spot tried on the role of a shepherd on a farm.
This once again shows how greatly the functionality of the machine increased over the past few years, given that Spot was first introduced in the summer of 2016.
