This will be achieved using the Striker II HMD helmet from British company BAE Systems. The device was initially built for military purposes.
During their flights, fighter pilots experience intense pressure, which gets in the way of their performance of duties. With the Striker II HMD helmet from British company BAE Systems, their work will become much more comfortable, as the device will help pilots see through the body of the plane. This will make it easier for crew members to concentrate on the enemy.
We’re talking about the second version of the helmet: the first model Striker HMD was developed several years ago and is already being actively used by several fighter pilots. The gadget comes with a built-in display which shows information about the status of the plane and the position of the enemy. The device is also equipped with active sound suppression and night vision systems and is much lighter than its predecessor.
The pilot will see through the plane thanks to several cameras located on the body of the plane. They will transmit information onto a display in front of the user’s eyes. The image will change depending on the position of the pilot’s head, similarly to VR technology. The interior of the helmet is built individually to suit the shape of each pilot’s head.
