The Air Glass device was unveiled recently at the annual Inno Day conference.
The new gadget from Oppo is connected onto a frame of glasses and positioned in front of the right eye. Together with the assistance of a micro projector, clear images are then displayed. Additionally, the user will be able to look at weather reports, discover navigation information, or even use the features of a built-in translator. Currently, Chinese and English are the only available languages.
The monocle is operated by using a built-in touch panel or through movements. For example, you can just nod your head to see the latest notifications. It will also be possible to give commands using hand gestures in the future.
The device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 4100 mobile platform. It comes with a battery, speaker, and microphone. Furthermore, you can connect the gadget wirelessly to a smartphone or smartwatch. Serial production will begin in 2022.
