BMW recently introduced their iX Flow concept car. It boasts a futuristic body made from E-ink.
The user can adjust the panel's colours and brightness, although the available colour palette varies from just white to dark grey. So you can draw some text onto the iX Flow, but you won't be able to coat any intricate patterns. Additionally, electronic ink does not consume much energy. Still, this development does not bring any practical benefits, although it complicates production.
Due to the project's major costs, there is no talk about starting mass production of the car. Therefore, for the time being, the iX Flow will continue to be an impressive demonstration of modern technology and the tremendous capabilities of the BMW team.
