Microsoft representative Phil Spencer spoke about the purchase of ZeniMax Media who own video game developers such as Bethesda Softworks, id Software, ZeniMax Online Studios, Arkane, MachineGames, Tango Gameworks, Alpha Dog and Roundhouse Studios.  The deal totalled an eye-watering $7.5 billion, making it the largest in the industry's history.

Now Microsoft will provide ZeniMax with development assistance, and previously released projects are now included in the Xbox Game Pass subscription.  Spencer said that he is waiting for the release of many games, and in particular Starfield, which is being developed by Bethesda Game Studios.  The deal will be fully completed by the end of next year.
