Inventor Aleksey Zaitsevsky has developed an Interceptor device capable of capturing other drones.
A Lithuanian inventor has designed a drone that can force-land other drones. Unlike its counterparts, the Interceptor does not act like a kamikaze. Instead, it shoots at its target with its four engines, with a Kevlar net stretched between them. An operator controls the entire process via an onboard camera.
The drone then drops its parachute and gently lands. It emits a special signal helping to easily find the device and can be reassembled and reused once found. The main advantage of the Interceptor is that it’s lightweight and is high powered. As a result, it can easily find other drones. However, the future prospects of the device remain unknown.
