Hypercars that run on electric motors: they're not as far away as we think

Electric motors will soon be used not only in ordinary cars, but also in racing supercars and premium cars.

Today everyone is speaking about electric cars because of the breakthrough that this sector has made in recent years. First of all the famous Elon Musk with his company Tesla, as well as a number of other similar projects, comes to mind. However, until recently all of them have dealt with the production of vehicles for everyday use, while other areas were bypassed.

But now everything has changed. There is talk about starting production of Formula 1 cars equipped with electric motors. Moreover, an Omega hypercar is being planned which also works using this technology. The company Lotus, in partnership with Williams Advanced Engineering, is working on it.

Light but durable housing, four-wheel drive, an eco-friendly engine, and the ability to drive 400 kilometers on one charge will not leave wealthy car enthusiasts indifferent. The exact timing of the release of the hypercar has not been announced, but it will be worth the wait — of no earlier than two years.
