The device is only compatible with walls featuring special fastening elements that can be installed separately. But the surprises don’t end there: the car only has three wheels.
Nobe 100 - from an Estonian company of the same name - has what it takes to surprise even the most seasoned auto driver. After all, it’s the only vehicle in the world that can be parked on a wall! This is done with a special structure which is partially located on the ground. When parking, the driver needs to slide the car into the grooves of the structure and exit the vehicle; after that, the mechanism automatically lifts and secures the vehicle on the wall.
The company wanted to call attention to the issue of overcrowded parking lots. However, this car ‘storage’ method can hardly be considered convenient, as everything contained inside will fall to the back of the car as it is lifted.
Nobe 100 resembles a retro car from the 1970s, with one visible difference: the electric car has only 3 wheels, an intentional decision on the manufacturer’s part to allow for vertical parking. Nobe 100 can also be parked horizontally.
The car weighs 600 kg, and one full 21 kWh battery can last it through a 210 km journey. The manufacturer has announced a more advanced model with a 25 kWh battery and 260 km range. Nobe 100 will be introduced to the market in early 2021, starting at a preliminary price of $29 000.
