Arivia introduces the new Splay foldable screen

When folded, the screen fits easily into a bag.

Several years ago, Arivia launched SPUD, a portable screen easily carried in a backpack. The Splay screen follows on from this earlier device. However, it is much lighter and more powerful. Additionally, the screen can also function perfectly as a projector.

The Splay screen has 24 diagonal inches, and once bent, can then be packed into a hard case. You can operate the projection unit manually. Due to having an HDMI, Splay can also be connected to a computer or even a smartphone. Furthermore, when using a USB, the device can also serve as a power bank.

The screen has a built-in power supply that lasts for four hours. The device costs $700 on the Kickstarter crowdfunding platform.
