Arcimoto prototypes Roadster, three-wheeled electric road trike

The American company Arcimoto are renowned for its series of closed-type electric motorbikes. Now the manufacturer has just unveiled a new open-top version known as the Roadster.

Similar to other motorbikes from their Fun Utility Vehicle range, it is powered by two electric motors situated in its front wheels. They are powerful enough to enable the vehicle to reach speeds of up to 120 km / h. In a city environment, one charge should be enough for 165 km of use.

The Roadster features a larger storage area above the rear wheel and a secure windshield to protect the driver. Whether Arcimoto intends to put this model into mass production is still unclear.
