Apple to develop smart health-conscious clothes

Such clothes will allow to read a person’s ECG, pressure, heart rate, etc. in the most efficient way.

Apple has registered a fresh patent for its new invention - a smart garment with sensors woven into the fabric.

Apple Watch is a most famous health gadget, which measures a person’s heart rate, records a cardiogram and monitors the indicators’ changes. Smart t-shirts or socks are likely to take over these functions soon.

Integrating sensors directly into clothing can make it easier to analyze one’s blood pressure, heart rate, even blood sugar levels and oxygen concentrations.

Smart clothes can be synchronized with the iPhone or Apple Watch. In addition, judging by the patent application, some functions can be controlled by voice.

Elastic sensors intertwined with fabric threads will be in constant contact with the skin for highly efficient data reading. It's hard to say at this juncture, whether the innovations will only be fitted into sporty, tight-fitting clothing or whether there will be looser models. Such clothes can be washed and ironed like ordinary pieces.
