One of the subdivisions of the holding announced a project to conserve and protect the resources of our oceans.
The new project by X- The Moonshot Factory (a division of Alphabet, the parent company of Google), is called Tidal. It involves using a wide operation of underwater devices, primarily cameras. All of this is necessary to monitor the population of fish and other marine life. The gadgets involved are equipped with artificial intelligence, allowing them to effectively observe sea-creatures, recording and analysing their behaviour.
Primarily, the project helps both fishermen and women to control the fish population and monitor their health. The project is already in collaboration with many European and Asian farms and plans to expand.
It’s taken three years to develop. Before this, X - The Moonshot Factory was involved in other start-ups, including Waymo drones and balloons. Now the company plans to develop in other fields, including environmental protection.
