The aircraft turned out to be completely ready to sail the skies.
Vertipod was founded by Pete Bitar, an American engineer best known for inventing compact aircraft. Recently, Bitar tested his latest creation, the Canop-E twin-turbine electric paraglider.
In addition to a pair of turbines, the device consists of a seat, frame, battery and a 28-meter parachute. It can stay in the air for up to 20 minutes, accelerating to a maximum possible speed of 110 km/h. The e-paraglider fits easily in the trunk of a car.
The company offers two models of the device for $8,995 and $18,995, respectively. Deliveries will begin in Q3 2022.
