The Iguana Interceptor is a French amphibious vessel that is both capable of sailing and driving on land. It comes equipped with a 350 hp outboard engine and has retractable tracks. Converting a floating vehicle into a land vehicle will take about eight seconds. The boat's travel speed on land is about 7 km/h and on the water by as much as 92 km/h. The vessel can carry cargo weighing up to 1110 kg.

The US military is planning to use the newly acquired boats in shallow waters. The department will study the boat's practical uses and may decide to acquire a larger consignment of boats in the future.
