The brainchild of the startup Subnado can fit in a user’s hand!
Waydoo-owned Chinese startup Subnado’s representatives have recently revealed a versatile scuba motor. Users can either attach the unique device to the arm or use it with a surfboard.
The motor is 38 centimetres long and weighs around 1.4 kilograms. It is shaped like a cylinder and has a hidden 98 W-h battery found inside. Although a full charge is sufficient for one hour of use, you can also charge other devices from the battery.
The 100 W electric motor provides a 6.5-kg thrust. It is enough to increase the speed of an average swimmer to 1.4 meters per second. You can increase this figure by using two Subnados simultaneously. The device costs $299, and you can go down to a depth of 60 m with it.
