Blockchain is becoming more and more popular every day. Here it comes: a very centralized government of United States is ready to entrust the major functions to a decentralized system. A working group met on the 8th of September. The experts discussed possible options of blockchain development and implementation for state matters.

The idea of using blockchain is development under the project called Open Government dedicated to make the government system even more transparent and comprehensible for every citizen. DigitalGov portal informing about all novelties and updates of governmental IT systems called upon the meeting to concentrate on the systems of blockchain.

Developing new ambitious ideas and initiatives never used for state matters before will be the key issue for the meeting.

And while  the experts are getting ready to present something cool and amazing, blockchain is being used by the authorities in a bit different context. Patrick Nelson, a candidate for congressman chair in 2018 is gathering donations for his electoral campaign in bitcoins.

And this is allowed by the government starting from elections 2016, when the commissioners decide this money can be considered as a natural way of monetary support.
