On 15 January 2019, Redmi Note 7 smartphone from Xiaomi released under a separate brand went on sale. The Corporation has grand plans for this economy class gadget for it expects to ship a million units in January.

It sounds incredible, but such high ambitions are already beginning to come true: the device's release has caused a real stir in the Chinese market, and the first batch of 100,000 pieces was sold out within eight and half minutes. Lei Jun, the Corporation’s founder shared this information in his blog. Note 7 is unique at least because it is the only device released under a separate Redmi brand. But of greater interest to the consumers were the smart phone’s performance characteristics.

The 48 mega pixels camera, 8-core chipset Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 and the democratic price of $150 did not leave gadget fans untouched and they rushed to sweep away the novelty from the on-line shelves. Many have already dubbed Note 7 the best smartphone in terms of price-performance ratio.

Xiaomi works on two lines of smart phones: Redmi and Mi. The former will include budget devices targeting mass consumers, while Mi will focus on the flagship gadgets segment.
