Hotel-tunnel: you go and relax

You work a whole year long, and finally you go on vacation: you get your suitcase packed, get on the plane and finally you land on the beach. This is the way most of us take. But soon everything will change....

You work a whole year long, and finally you go on vacation: you get your suitcase packed, get on the plane and finally you land on the beach. This is the way most of us take. But soon everything will change. The science fiction is coming to our lives now. That means is will be even more entertaining to travel and spend your vacation. So, what 2018 will bring to travel industry?

Of course Hyperloop Hotel storylines the whole season. Brendan Siebrecht, the former student of the University of Nevada has  offered the idea. He was inspired by the idea of Elon Musk to build a vacuum tunnel for moving the passenger cabins with the maximum speed of 1223 km/h. That would be kind of fast-speed subway. Brendan became an architect and developed his own project of capsule hotel rooms.

As we speak the construction of the testing track is going on in Las-Vegas. It is being realized by the Hyperloop startup.  Its motto is “Advanced bandwidth for the transporting”. If it works out the idea of the unique hotel will be totally manageable and even very soon.

How it will look like? A log roar will connect 13 american cities including New York, Washington, Las Vegas and other big cities. Capsules will go along this tunnel. And that will be hotel rooms constructed from freight containers. A living room, bedroom, cabinet and a bathroom - that will be inside a future capsule.

«Hyperloop Hotel has the ability to disrupt the way we live entirely, beyond the hospitality industry. Radical Innovation exists to help bring these types of ideas to fruition», — so thinks John Hardy, founder of Radical Innovation and CEO of The John Hardy Group.

So let’s imagine ourselves in one of these magic hotel rooms. Let’s assume you live not far away from New York and decided to take a walk across Chicago. You take on a standard check in procedure: payment, ID, room keys. You have a dinner and go to bed. And in the morning you wake up in your room but in Chicago. During the time you were sleeping your capsule has made it to Chicago in the vacuum roar and placed your room in the hotel of the city selected. Let’s agree, it is very convenient. No, let’s put it clear: it is really cool. No air planes, no trains, to waiting times.

«I believe the Hyperloop One is the next big innovation in transportation in the United States and possibly the world», — told Brendan Siebrecht.

But as it is well known you have to pay for the pleasure. The price is not clear yet. It is assumed the price for moving between two cities will amount 1200 dollars. But that’s only for today. If the project will be launched and a new transport network will grow the prices will drop. The entire system connected to the Hyperloop network will cost around 130 million dollars.
