Art.com, online retailer of paintings and posters has added to its app the function that helps to choose a picture or picture set fitting exactly to your home or office.

It is not always clear what the picture will look like in a real situation, if one can not first look at it in this situation, and then buy it. With assistance of the AR-technology ArtView integrates chosen pictures into the interior shot on the smartphone camera. Users can also get advice on the choice of paintings and additional options fitting into the interior.  Art.com offers various types of framing for more than two million paintings and posters.

The updated application has a new function called Gallery Wall Designer. It allows users to check how various art objects look arranged together, in a form of a gallery.

Recently it has become quite fashionable to use not individual pictures, but thematic or stylistic collections from several works in interior design. The service will help users to select and properly arrange such mini-galleries.

Updating the application is one of the steps that its new head, Kira Wampler, is taking to develop the company with a 20-year history in accordance with new design and technology trends. Before coming to Art.com, Wamppler was the heading the marketing department of the Lyft taxi service.

The company believes that the use of AR in such services, and not only in games, is really in demand by users and helps them.

The application is available for iOS platform starting from the 10th version.
