Microsoft is preparing two versions of a next-generation game console under the working title “Scarlett”. It seems that the company intends to attract new users and at the same time not to lose their old fans.

One of the consoles will be a powerful classic console which will allow users to squeeze the most out of the game, thanks to the best internal components available.

The second model, which is significantly inferior in terms of hardware characteristics, will be optimized for the new cloud service “Scarlett Cloud”. The main function of this console is to stream games. Interestingly, Microsoft is not going to restrict access to its service from devices from other manufacturers. Thus, you can stream games even from a tablet or phone.

But, of course, the developers made sure that it is Microsoft devices that are best suited for using the cloud solution.

One of the technical achievements of the engineers that will increase the appeal of both models is a significant reduction in the delay of the video signal.

The same library of games will be available on both models, so buying two consoles is not necessary.

According to rumors, Microsoft will start releasing the new consoles in 2020.

The company decided to offer a flexible pricing policy. The older model will be significantly more expensive, but you will only have to pay for it once. Owners of the less powerful console, designed to work using “Scarlett Cloud”, will pay a monthly subscription.
